I'd cancel bad days
dentist visits, and also
long commercial breaks

there'd be free hair products
roomier pockets and
pencils that didn't snap
If I were in charge of the world
you wouldn't have stress.
You wouldn't have obligations.
You wouldn't have aches.
Or "growing up's tough."
You wouldn't even have growing up.
If I were in charge of the world
a red velvet cake à la mode would be a vegetable.
All people would be kind.
And a person who sometimes forgot names
and sometimes forgot to remember
would still be allowed to be
in charge of the world.
Oh my goodness dentist visits are the worst. I hope you take charge of the world I like the sound of free hair products.
ReplyDeleteYour world would be a colorful one...those pencils and the cake and even the hair spray are rainbowesque. I like the line about someone who "sometimes forgot to remember." Haven't we all?
